and three ESI Dispensaries. The number of
insured persons attached with these three
dispensaries is approx. 4000. IP’s and
their family who need health care attend the
ESI dispensaries and those needing specialist
care are referred to the ESI Hospital from

& their family members..

hospital for insured persons and their families.
It is 50 bedded hospital & also provide
24 hrs. emergency services to insured persons.
Patients are referred from ESI Dispensaries.
It also worked as empanelled hospital under
RSBY.

Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana |
RSBY has been launched
by Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government
of India to provide health insurance coverage
for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. ESI
Health Care is the nodal office for this scheme.
The objective of RSBY is to provide protection
to BPL households from financial liabilities
arising out of health shocks that involve
hospitalization. Beneficiaries under RSBY
are entitled to hospitalization coverage up
to Rs. 30,000/- for most of the diseases that
require hospitalization. Government has even
fixed the package rates for the hospitals
for a large number of interventions. Pre-existing
conditions are covered from day one and there
is no age limit. Coverage extends to five
members of the family which includes the head
of household, spouse and up to three dependents.
Beneficiaries need to pay only Rs. 30/- as
registration fee while Central and State Government
pays the premium to the insurer selected by
the State Government on the basis of a competitive
bidding.
Status of RSBY in District Bhiwani
RSBY scheme was operational in Bhiwani district
w.e.f. 1.07.2008 to 30.06.2009. Under this
scheme total 38685 smart cards were prepared
out of which 26813 prepared in rural areas
and 11872 prepared in urban areas. 9 hospitals
were empanelled under this scheme.
A fresh process for preparation of smart card
and empanelment of hospitals will be started
soon. |
