Introduction |
| There are ten BEO’s
namely Bhiwani, Bound, Behal,Tosham, Siwani,
Ch.Dadri, Badhra, Bawani Khera, Kairu and
Loharu under District Education Ofice, Bhiwani
. Thre are total 1147 schools in district.
Out of this 144 Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools (in
that 144 Art ,28 commerce, 29 Science Faculties),
159 Govt. High Schools, 150 Govt. Middle Schools,
694 Govt. Primary Schools are running. Apart
from Govt. Schools there are 8 Primary , 7
High and 2 Sr. Sec. Private Aided Schools
which have Arts, Science and Commerce stream. |

Main Activities
/Achievements |
| 1. Incentives
:- Various incentives are provided
for attracting and retaining girls, children
who belong to SC/BC/BPL and other weaker sections.
These incentives are in the form of free uniform,
stationary, attendance prize, pre-matric scholarship
etc. 75223 students are benefited under this

| 2. Free Education
Upto Class VIIIth :- Education is
free up to class VIII both boys and girls
in Govt. Schools of the state i.e. tuition
fee only. |
| 3. Free Education
for Girls :- Prior to July 1991 up
to Class XII for Girls was free in Govt. Schools.
This facility has been extended to the Girls
studying in privately managed recognized aided
schools from 1991 benefiting 102077 Girls. |
| 4. Repair Of School
Buildings Construction Of Additional Rooms
:- A crash programme for repair of
damaged and unsafe school buildings and construction
of additional rooms was launched in 1991-92.
Rs. 2,27,12,860 has been released for Computer
Lab. and repair of school buildings for Sr.
Sec. Schools and construction of 168 additional
class room trough the SSA during the year
2008-09 . Rs. 34,37,400 for the constructions
of boundary wall for Primary schools. |
| 5. Literacy Programmes
:- As per guide lines of National
Literacy Mission , A State Literacy Mission
Authority has been constituted which will
oversee and monitor the performance of Bhiwani
district level literacy/Post Literacy Projects
being run by Zila Sakshtara Samities. This
authority would consist of both Non-Officials
& Officials and would include academicians,
representatives of N.G.O’s , Administration
and Public representatives. |
| 6. Navodaya Vidyalyas
:- Under National Policy of Education,
1986 , Ministry of Human Resources Development
, Govt. of India has setup Novodya Vidyalaya
Samiti. Under its banner Residental and Co-educational
institutions has been established as Jawahar
Navodayas at Devrala ,Bhiwani |
| 7. Improvement
of Science Education Programme :-
Under a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of improvement
in science education for the supply of equipement
/appartus/books toenior Secondary Schools,
High Schools. |
| 8. Free Text Book
: - Free text books have been provided
to all students ( both boys & girls of
all categories from class I to VIII) in all
ten blocks of District Bhiwani. |
| 9. Computer Education
In Schools :- To create Computer
awareness among maximum number of students
to provide necessary Manpower to Information
Technology Sector and to improve the employment
opportunities of the people of the State.
The computer education is providing at free
of cost to all students in 133 Sr. Sec. Schools
in district. |
| 10. Sports Activities
:- Yoga is practised in each school
after the morning assembly. Kho Kho, Kabbadi,
Volley Ball, Wrestling Boxing and Race , Circket
ectc. are played keeping in mind the interest
of the students. |
| 11. EDUSAT :-
The EDUSAT programme has been initiated with
an aim to provide quality education to the
students. Now upto DTH/ROT has been launched
in 633 Primary Schools and 133 Senior Secondary
Schools in district. |
| 12. Mid-Day-Meal
programme : - Mid-Day-Meal programme
is being implemented so as to increase enrolment
, attendance and retention of children of
primary schools . The cooked food is served
to the students under this scheme . The mess
manu is on Monday Meetha Rice, Tuesday Vegetable
Pulao, Wednesday Paushtik Khichari, Thursday
Paushtik Dalia and Friday Bakli. Grant received
Rs. 94.45 Lacs(Pry) and Rs. 45.90 Lacs(Middle)
for the year 2009-10 for purchase food gradients
such as Soybean, Moong dal , Moongfali, Chana,
Til , Gur , Ghee, etc. Wheat (2545.30 Qtls.)
& Rice (25.18.70 Qtls) allotment for Primary
and Wheat (2109.50 Qtls.) & Rice (2087.50
Qtls) allotment for Upper Primary received
from F.C.I . 99275 students are benefiting
in this scheme in 1152 schools. |
| 13. SIT Offices
:- 30 SIT offices have been established
at each Block Education Office, District Education
Office and 19 Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools. |
| 14. Teacher Education
Programme :- Institute for Educational
Training (DIET) has been setup to provide
for service and in-service training to the
teachers at Brihi Kalan(Bhiwani) |
15. STRENGTHENING
OF LABORATORIES AND PROVIDING SCIENTIFICE
EQUIPMENT IN HIGH/SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS
:-
It is proposed to stregthen Laboratories and
to provide scientific educational equipment
in Secondary Schools . |
| 16. STUDENT’S
SAFETY INSURANCE POLICY :- The Secondary
Education Department in association with Oriental
Insurance Company has introduced an Insurance
Policy in the year 2001-2002 for the school
going children as well as teaching and non-teaching
staff of schools at a the meager premium amount
of Rs. 1 per year. |
| 17. REMEDIAL COACHING
FOR THE STUDENTS OF HIGH/SR.SEC. SCHOOLS :-
Under this scheme, students of 10th and 12th
Classes will be given special coaching classes
before and after school hours in three main
subjects i.e. English, Science and Mathematics
for 6 months. |
| 18. DEVELOPMENT
OF SOFT SKILLS IN SCHOOL STUDENTS :-
Initially, under this scheme, 10 schools in
district . |
| 19. MANAGEMENT
OF RECORD FOR EFFICIENT EDUCATION, ADMINISTRATION:–
SETTING UP OF RECORD ROOMS :- Setup record
rooms in all B.E.O. Offices , D.E.E.O. office
and D.E.O. office. |
| 20. STRENGTHENING
OF EDUCATION MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION AND
PLANING IN SCHOOLS :- It is proposed
to publish a magazine and to bring out 1500
copies covering all 694 Primary 150 Middle,
159 High, 144 Govt. Sr. Secondary Schools
in the district and also Aided schools. |

OF SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC
TEMPERAMENT – SETTING UP OF SCIENCE
MUSEUM :- A science Museum has been
setup at Govt. Model Sanskratik Sr. Sec. School
